You mean more to God than you know

“For the Lord’s portion is his people, Jacob his allotted inheritance
(Deut 32:9).” This was a part of a song God instructed Moses to write for the Children of Israel, when he was about to move off the scene. This would be a reminder of what God was going to do when they walk away from him to serve other gods.

What Israel did not know, was really who they were and what they meant to God. They did not know how much God loved them and cared about their well being. Somewhat like many believers today, Israel had an identity crisis.Otherwise, they would not, pursue other gods and the culture of strange people who did not know God.

We are God’s delight, his precious creation, whether or not we reciprocate the action of delighting in the Lord. Not only is the Lord our portion, we are his portion too. We are the apple of his eye. His eyes are not filled with wrath, hate and revenge, they are filled with love, mercy, compassion and grace for his most prized possession- humanity.

Cultivate the right seeds

Cultivating the seeds that God has placed in our hearts is absolutely important for our growth and security as victorious believers. God never plant seeds in our lives that produce destruction, failure, depression, sickness, hurts, frustration, defeat and death. The seeds God plants in our lives are destined to produce good spiritual fruit until Jesus comes. This seed has the power and ability to produce spiritual development and abundant life in us, but the success of this seed depends on us.

Unwavering, un-staggering faith

Romans 4: 20(KJV)

He staggered not at the promise of God through unbelief; but was strong in faith, giving glory to God; being fully persuaded that God had power to do what he had promised.

Abraham staggered not in his faith. I have read this verse several times but somehow it has become so real to me. The image of staggering reveals walking or moving unsteadily, as if about to fall. Just imagine your faith in this way; swaying, tottering, stumbling, no one likes to walk this way, much less your faith operating this way. You see, wavering, staggering faith, signify no solidity or strength in our faith. There is really no faith exercised when we are wavering or unstable. Jesus says all the FAITH that is truly needed to move mountains is mustard seed faith. He replied, “Truly I tell you, if you have faith as small as a mustard seed, you can say to this mountain, ‘Move from here to there,’ and it will move. Nothing will be impossible for you (Matt 17:20).” Jesus wants the faith of his people to be like Abraham- unswerving and un-staggering.

Abraham had all the reasons to waver in his faith, but he chose to believe God. Well yes, this was Abraham, he is the father of faith, you might say. Abraham demonstrated UN-staggering, unflinching faith at a very critical point in his life. Abraham had a choice, he could either believe God or believe his condition. We too have a choice, to believe or not to believe. I know what it is like to stagger in my faith and I am sure many of you have experienced the same. You will have many instances and very good reasons to stagger in your faith, just don’t to take those opportunities. I have chosen to build my faith in the word and allow truth to govern my decisions. Let us today, develop unwavering and un-staggering faith in ALL that Jesus Christ has done for us.

 If your faith is in the dumps today pick it up with the WORD OF GOD- it changes everything. When we choose to make the WORD OF GOD our final authority every other thing has to line up with it. The mustard seed faith is the WORD OF GOD in you. The WORD is a seed, so when it is sown in faith, it yields great results. Don’t let the enemy deceive you into thinking you have no faith. You will never know how much faith you have until you exercise your faith. Therefore; Where your faith is lacking, build it up, that’s the great part of this whole experience. You can build up your faith by praying in the Holy Spirit, studying the word and testifying to others about the goodness of God.

A call to prayer

As I prayed this morning my spirit was crying out to the Lord for so many things as it relates the Ferguson incident. What is evident here is that this goes beyond one city or person, this has been a deep seated issue that continues to be an ongoing struggle for freedom and justice in this nation. It is important for us to pray not just for this street, city, state or incident but for a people who feels hurt, pushed over, under-appreciated, targeted and unjustly treated. This does not describe, the magnitude of the situation that this nation is dealing with.

 My call today is that while we pray for peace, pray also for justice. Pray for a move of God that is unprecedented in this nation against this spirit of hate and destruction. We are seeing the symptoms of an undermining problem. The focus is not to only alleviate the manifestation of the symptoms, but find the root cause of the problem and deal with it.

 As we prepare to pray, our emotions might be all over the place, but ask the Holy Spirit to take over. Ask him to pray through you. When the people of God unite and pray, pray, pray our God hears the cry of the righteous and answers. As you pray bear the following things in mind.

We have heard several times the battle is not ours, it belongs to the Lord. Therefore, we do not need to take justice into our own hands when we have the God of justice on our side.

According to (Isaiah 61:8) “For I, the LORD, love justice, I hate robbery in the burnt offering; And I will faithfully give them their recompense And make an everlasting covenant with them.”

Job 34:12 “Surely, God will not act wickedly, And the Almighty will not pervert justice.

 As you listen to the News and read the news feeds and comments, hate, confusion, destruction, anger and all the negatives seem to be in the forefront of the minds of many protestors, but I urge you not to join the sides of hate, join forces with the Holy Spirit and deal with the spirits at work. Do not allow the spirit of strife to take over. The scripture says the weapons of our warfare are not carnal or weapons of the world, but they are might through God to the pulling down of strongholds. However, this weapon has tremendous power to destroy strongholds (2 Cor 10:4).

–          Pray for the justice of God to manifest in the judicial system, corporate America, and every other broken system in the nation.

–          Speak healing over hurting, angry, and suffering people.

–          Pull down those walls of prejudice and racial profiling,

–          Pray for local government, senate and the house of representatives to begin to engage in talks and legislation, that will bring about some long awaited changes.

–          Pray for those who are using this situation as an opportunity to advance their sinister plan.

A believer can accomplish so much on his knees than with his carnal abilities, if he understands the power of his prayer and the power of the effectual fervent prayer of the righteous. The righteous man has tremendous power available to him, but he must be able to harness it. Don’t allow the enemy to make you feel powerless, not when you have the power of God available to you.

Abound with blessing and Live in the blessing lane

The blessing of the Lord makes rich and adds no sorry with it. (Prov 10:22)

God has already predetermined before the foundations of the world that he would blessed mankind with life and show them his goodness. He predetermined our adoption to sonship from the beginning and made preparation for our redemption into his divine plan through Jesus Christ. Today, we are not trying to be blessed we are blessed, because we are a part of his covenant of salvation.

His desire is to be good to be us, fulfill the desires of our hearts and make all our plans succeed. (Psalm 20:4)
His desire is to make his face shine on us and be gracious to us. (numbers 6:24)
His desire is to turn his face toward us and give us peace (Numbers 6:26)
His desire is to execute his good plans toward us- plans to prosper us and not to harm us, plans to give us hope and a future.(Jeremiah 29:11)
His plan to meet all our needs according to the riches of his glory in Christ Jesus. (Phil. 4:19)
His desire is to be the good shepherd, so we lack nothing, lie down in green pastures and walk beside quiet waters. (Psalm 23:1-3)
His desire is deliver us from all our fears. (Psalm 34:4)
His desire is to show us his loving kindness and his goodness.

Declare you are blessed today. Everything you touch is blessed. Everything that’s apart of your life is blessed. Put the blessing wall up, Live in the blessing lane and take advantage of all that Jesus has made available to you.You are blessed to be a blessing.

PRAYer

A CALL TO PRAY: THE NAME OF JESUS IS ABOVE EBOLA

Therefore God exalted him to the highest place and gave him the name that is above every name, (Phil 2:9).

I am sure many of you have heard several times of the deadly Ebola virus sweeping Africa and killing people by the thousands and a few cases in different countries.
According to Yahoo News “West Africa could see up to 10,000 new Ebola cases a WEEK within two months, the World Health Organization said Tuesday, also confirming the death rate in the current outbreak has risen to 70 percent.”

NOW WHAT DOES GOD’S WORD SAY?

The LORD will keep you free from every disease (Deut. 7:15).

Psalm 91:3 SURELY he will save you from the fowler’s snare and from the DEADLY PESTILENCE ( this means deadly disease). He will cover you with his feathers, and under His wings you will find refuge; His faithfulness will be your shield and rampart. You will not fear the terror of night, nor the arrow that flies by day.

Understand that the same authority that Jesus gave to his disciples, he has also given it to us. DO NOT BE AFRAID of the bad news, you have authority as a believer in Christ and therefore use it. Take a stand against Ebola in the name of Jesus (Matt 10:1, 7)

HOW CAN YOU PRAY AGAINST THIS VIRUS?

1. WE OVERCOME the devil by the blood of the lamb and the word of our testimony Rev. 12:11

2. Let us rise up as believers all around the world and rebuke this plague in the name of Jesus.

3. Let us declare with power and confidence that ebola is bound, stopped, hindered from operating in Liberia and around the world. Whatever, YOU bind on earth is bound in heaven, whatever YOU is loose on earth is loosed in heaven (Matt. 18:18,19)

5. Plead the blood of Jesus Christ over this disease. (Rev. 12:11)

6. Declare that Jesus has been given a name above every name, that at the name of Jesus ebola virus must bow.

7. Speak and declare that the Lord will impress on several scientists and experts in the nations to develop and make available to the people ebola vaccines and provide all the aids and medical help needed.

8. Pray for the protection and preservation of all health care professionals, providing care to ebola patients.

9. Pray for the salvation of all those who are affected and their families.

Please bear in mind, that the name of Jesus is above every name and there is great power available to us. Do not focus on what you hear in the news and be overcome with fear. Think what would happen if every believer, grasp this concept and send up confident prayers concerning this matter daily, the impact would be incredible. Let it start from you.
