MAKE THE WORD YOUR DAILY BREAD

WORD & PRAYERMAKE THE WORD YOUR DAILY BREAD

I am determined to make this year a year when I send more time in the WORD and with God than with any other distractions.

What about you, would you commit to spending time in the WORD, feeding your faith and starving your doubts and unbelief? Great way to go!

Let’s take this journey of studying and declaring God’s WORD daily and consistently so we are changed and transformed to become all that God has predestined. The more we engage in studying the WORD and PRAYing, the more we will develop an intimate relationship with God. PRAYERS of faith flow from the word of God. When we pray his WORD, we pray his heart.

I heard someone said when you take time to put the word in your spirit, a time will come, when your spirit will put the word in your mouth. When we need the word the most, it will be right there, in our hearts and our mouths (Roms 10:8, Deut. 30:14).

Make the WORD your final authority.

Scriptures on Long Life

“With long life will I satisfy him and show him my salvation”

God has given to his covenant people many promises from which they can live godly, satisfying and successful lives. We know that death and life are in the power of the tongue and they that love it shall eat its fruits (Prov 18:21).

What fruit would you rather be eating death or life? The answer is clear. Therefore, we should speak what we want to see even if our bodies are saying something else. Some people have families with short life span, as a result of sicknesses and diseases or tragedies of some sort. If we are not careful we will talk ourselves right into the grave. Jesus came to give life and that more abundantly, not just in the spiritual but also in the  natural.

Speak by faith

God is fighting for you!

God is fighting for you

How many of us know and believe that God is fighting for us? How many times have we stepped out feeling like we are alone in the battles that life brings our way? The great assurance the believers have is knowing that God is fighting for us, and he is on our side. I believe this year that God wants to reveal his supernatural power and show great favor to his people of covenant. He promises never to leave or forsake us and to be our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble (Psalm 46:1). When God is fighting there is no losing.

I was listening to a great song, “In Jesus’ Name” by a well-known artist Darlene Zschech, from her “Revealing Jesus Project”. This song is so profound in showing how Jesus has not only won the ultimately battle but he is present in the struggles that we face every day and his resurrection power is alive in us today, making us free and giving us the victory. These are few words of the song, “God is fighting for us, pushing back the darkness, lighting up the kingdom that cannot be shaken, in the name of Jesus enemy is defeated and we will shout it out.” Let God fight the battles and you enjoy the victory.

Isaiah 54:10 says “Though the mountains be shaken and the hills be removed, yet my unfailing love for you will not be shaken nor my covenant of peace be removed,” says the Lord, who has compassion on you.

Exodus 14:13-14

Moses answered the people, “Do not be afraid. Stand firm and you will see the deliverance the LORD will bring you today. The Egyptians you see today you will never see again. The LORD will fight for you; you need only to be still.”

Exodus 14:25
He jammed the wheels of their chariots so that they had difficulty driving. And the Egyptians said, “Let’s get away from the Israelites! The LORD is fighting for them against Egypt.”

Exodus 15:3
The LORD is a warrior; the LORD is his name.

Deuteronomy 1:30
The LORD your God, who is going before you, will fight for you, as he did for you in Egypt, before your very eyes,

Deuteronomy 3:22
“Do not be afraid of them; the LORD your God himself will fight for you.”

Joshua 10:14
There has never been a day like it before or since, a day when the LORD listened to a human being. Surely the LORD was fighting for Israel!

Joshua 23:3
You yourselves have seen everything the LORD your God has done to all these nations for your sake; it was the LORD your God who fought for you.

Regardless of what you see or what confronts you or what the facts reveal, you must believe and declare that God is fighting for me. I am not alone in my difficult season, moments, and times. My victory is already intact. Although you might feel like you are fighting the battles of your life know that Jesus is with you and he is fighting with you. When you give up the fight too quickly, you choose to forfeit your victory, but when you stay in the fight and let God fight the battle, you will see the victory.

Expect the goodness of God

Capture the beauty of his majesty
Capture the beauty of his majesty

God has crowned the YEAR with GOODNESS

Psalm 65:1-13

Praise is awaiting You, O God, in Zion;
And to You the vow shall be performed.
O You who hear prayer,

Who is more deserving of praise flowing from his people, other than God almighty? His plans toward us are always good, his intentions are noble and everything he created is for man to enjoy.  So how fitting it is for us to awake daily with praise in our mouths and hearts filled with thanksgiving expressed to our wonderful God. No one knows what this year holds but let us start by determining to praise God for who he is. We have no idea of coming events or changing seasons, but what we are certain of is Jesus holds today and tomorrow. Friends may come and go but rest assured, that God is and will always be there in every waking moment, to guide you along the way. Know that everyday is a GIFT that you must never take for granted and cherish all God’s goodness, mercy  and his everlasting love that he showers on you daily.

To You all flesh will come.
Iniquities prevail against me;
As for our transgressions,
You will provide atonement for them.

What an amazing act of God’s grace, that David was able see it and and express it. God has prepared himself an atonement in his Son Jesus Christ. God’s redemptive plan did not quit when man messed up, it was already accomplished, and is still working today.

Blessed is the man You choose,
And cause to approach You,
That he may dwell in Your courts.
We shall be satisfied with the goodness of Your house,
Of Your holy temple.

The greatest place to be is in his courts. We shall be satisfy with his goodness. Live in his courts daily, a place where his presence dwells, a place of abundant life and maximum satisfaction. The greatest fulfillment comes when we abide in his courts.

CreationBy awesome deeds in righteousness You will answer us,
O God of our salvation,
You who are the confidence of all the ends of the earth,
And of the far-off seas;
Who established the mountains by His strength,
Being clothed with power;
You who still the noise of the seas,

The noise of their waves,
And the tumult of the peoples.
They also who dwell in the farthest parts are afraid of Your signs;
You make the outgoings of the morning and evening rejoice.

The splendor of God’s majesty can be seen in his creation. He answers with awesome deeds, He comes to our aid, He is our ever present help in times of trouble. The same God who clothed himself with power, formed the great mountains by his strength, stilled the waves of the seas and the tumult of his peoples, also resides in us. Therefore, you and I possess the power to do amazing things in Jesus Christ.

You visit the earth and water it,
You greatly enrich it;
The river of God is full of water;
You provide their grain,
For so You have prepared it.
10 You water its ridges abundantly,
You settle its furrows;
You make it soft with showers,
You bless its growth.

There is absolutely no lack, scarcity, or insufficiency in God. He is loaded with everything. David says it so right, The river of God is full of water, and it will never run dry. God is the source of life, He gives the earth the water it needs to provide food to all its inhabitants. Seek God for his provision and rely totally on him, He is the source of all your supply.

11 You crown the year with Your goodness,
And Your paths drip with abundance.
12 They drop on the pastures of the wilderness,
And the little hills rejoice on every side.
13 The pastures are clothed with flocks;
The valleys also are covered with grain;
They shout for joy, they also sing.

This is the kind of God that Christians serve, yet we fail to see God in all his majesty and glory in our lives.  When God crowns the year with his goodness, He places his goodness as his top priority for the year. His desire is to be good to us. It is his goodness, not ours that brings men to repentance (Rom 2:4). How will you respond to his goodness toward you? What will you do with his goodness, but  receive it by faith and thank him. The richness of God’s kindness, his forbearance and patience are too much for anyone to refuse him.  A crown is a symbol of authority bestowed on someone, likely a monarch. It is placed at the highest level of a person’s body – the head, and it is also known as the highest part of something,  such as a hill, peak, crest, summit, pinnacle and so on. What is apparent to me is that God has already crowned your year and mine with goodness. No wonder, his goodness and mercy will surely follow me all the days of my life. He has designed it that way.

God is loaded with abundance, I love how David puts it, his path drips with abundance, When God shows up, He drips all over with abundance, he is overflowing. Everything that God touches comes alive. David concludes this Psalm by saying, “The valleys shout for joy and also sing,” We know that the valleys are not people, they cannot shout, sing or be joyful. However, the imagery and meaning becomes clearer when the valleys are given the character of a joyful person shouting and singing. Now if the valleys could respond to God’s goodness in this way, how much more can we as human beings respond to God.

What is it about the future that scares you? Why have you been so intimated and upset by the events of the world? While you may feel alone and disconnected, you are not alone. God is on your side and He is ready and waiting to bring his word to past in your life. He is waiting to be good to you.  Do not walk in fear walk in “God confidence”.
What you need to realize is that God’s kindness is INTENDED to lead you to repentance.

Take a Praise Break!

Life sometimes becomes very hectic, and Believers tend to loose focus on what is really important in their lives. When last have you taken time out to bless the Lord and tell Him how awesome and magnificent he is? Don’t allow life’s business to lock you into its mold, so that you become lost in the day to day struggle that you fail to connect to what your soul and spirit truly desires-HIS PRESENCE.

Take a praise break and let your Creator know how grateful you are that he has given you another day, another chance, a new beginning to start over today. Your hope and confidence must TOTALLY be in God and not in the systems of this world, because regardless of how good they appear to be, they fail and disappoint but God’s word stands forever, his plans are recession, sickness, job and depression…. proof.

Read and declare

Psalm 145:1-21, aloud, let your mouth speak in praise of Him. No one is worthy of such praise and adoration like He is. Then claim His promises as His child.

As you declare God’s praise, watch His presence and peace fill your life and heart.

1. I will exalt you, my God the King; I will praise your name for ever and ever.

2. Every day I will praise you and extol your name for ever and ever.

3. Great is the Lord and most worthy of praise; his greatness no one can fathom.

4. One generation will commend your works to another; they will tell of your mighty acts.

5. They will speak of the glorious splendor of your majesty, and I will meditate on your wonderful works.

6. They will tell of the power of your awesome works, and I will proclaim your great deeds.

7. They will celebrate your abundant goodness and joyfully sing of your righteousness.

8. The Lord is gracious and compassionate, slow to anger and rich in love.

9. The Lord is good to all; he has compassion on all he has made.

10. All you have made will praise you, O Lord; your saints will extol you.

11. They will tell of the glory of your kingdom and speak of your might,

12. so that all men may know of your mighty acts and the glorious splendor of your kingdom.

13. Your kingdom is an everlasting kingdom, and your dominion endures through all generations. The Lord is faithful to all his promises and loving toward all he has made.

14. The Lord upholds all those who fall and lifts up all who are bowed down.

15. The eyes of all look to you, and you give them their food at the proper time.

16. You open your hand and satisfy the desires of every living thing.

17. The Lord is righteous in all his ways and loving toward all he has made.

18The Lord is near to all who call on him, to all who call on him in truth.

19. He fulfills the desires of those who fear him; he hears their cry and saves them.

20. The Lord watches over all who love him, but all the wicked he will destroy.

21. My mouth will speak in praise of the Lord. Let every creature praise his holy name for ever and ever.

Be empowered through your praise.

Launch out on Jesus’ WORDS!

Step out on Jesus' words
Step out on Jesus’ words

Jesus was standing by the lake of Gennesaret, pressed by people crowding around him, all anxious to listen to the word of God as he was teaching (Luke 5:1). Jesus saw two boats and decided that one would be a great platform to minister to the people. He got into the one belonging to Simon and requested that the boat be put out a little further from the shore (Luke 5:3). There he sat down and taught the people (Luke 5:3).

After Jesus was finished speaking, there were some unfinished business that Jesus needed to attend to, Luke 5:4 records Jesus’ instructions to Simon, “Launch out into the deep, and let down your nets for a draught.” Earlier Jesus met the fishermen washing their nets. One of those fishermen was Simon, who answered Jesus and said, “Master, we have toiled all night, and have taken nothing: NEVERTHELESS AT THY WORD I WILL LET DOWN THE NET.” “And when they had done this, they inclosed a great multitude of fishes: and their net break (Luke 5:6).”

Jesus saw the men washing their nets, and knew that they caught nothing all night. HE knew the men were discouraged having worked all night and have nothing to show for their labor. Little did they know that Jesus was not only concerned about teaching the people about the kingdom of God, but He was also ready to now demonstrate the presence and power of his Kingdom in the earth. The Kingdom of God is not just words but actions, healing, deliverance, abundant life, blessings and prosperity.

As Simon acted on the words of Jesus, he saw the miracle that caused him to do nothing, but bow down and worship Jesus. Not only was Simon blessed, but all of the other fishermen that were on sea, who were called in to help, were blessed as well.

What have you been laboring on all year long? What have you been working on that seem to amount to nothing? What have you been doing that is not producing the kind of results that you want? Are you about to give up like the fishermen did? Well hold one minute! where is Jesus now? Is he living in you, yes, this same Jesus that gave the instruction to Simon, is ready and willing to give you your instructions, tailored just for you. The hope of glory lives in you, now allow him to instruct you and guide you in the way that you should go (Psalm 32:8).

Don’t be afraid to launch out on the words of Jesus!

IT IS NEVER TOO LATE TO TRUST JESUS

Advancing the kingdom of God in the earth!

Do you have the light of Life living in you?

Let you Light shine brightly!
Let you Light shine brightly!

Do you have the light of Life living in you?

John 8:12

When Jesus spoke again to the people, he said, “I am the light of the world. Whoever follows me will never walk in darkness, but will have the light of life.”

LIGHT is an amazing part of life that we take for granted every day. Whether we use a torch light, battery light of some sort, solar light or electric light, lighting adds great quality to everyday life. Otherwise, we would really find it difficult to function effectively without it. Genesis records one of the first things that God created-light (Gen 1:3). “God said, Let there be light; he willed it, and at once there was light.”

The world is a very dark place. DARKNESS does not only exist where there is literal absence of light, but sadly DARKNESS exist and in many cases rules the heart man.

Jeremiah 17:9 says “The heart is deceitful above all things, and desperately wicked: who can know it?” When wickedness and darkness rules the heart of men, there is no telling what they are capable of doing, except what is evil.

Mark (7:21-22) explains in more details, the state of a man’s heart and what it is capable of producing; “For from within, out of the heart of men, proceed evil thoughts, Thefts, covetousness, wickedness, deceit, lasciviousness, an evil eye, blasphemy, pride, foolishness: All these evil things come from within, and defile the man.” Without even looking at the scripture, just take a look around, listen to the news and before long, you cannot help but become disgusted with the many things you hear and see.

 The Light of the world showed up

Well fortunately there is hope for all, the whole world. The light of the world has come, to brighten things up for us. When Jesus was born in Bethlehem in Judea, the wise men from the East, inquired about Jesus’ location, because they saw his star, so, they showed up to worship Christ the King. Their inquiry provided no answer as to Jesus’ location, but as they continued on their journey, the same star they saw in the east, went ahead of them and led them to the place where Jesus was (Matt 2:1-9). It was prophesied that, Jesus would be the star that comes out of David (Numbers 24:17).

 According to an article on chrstiananswers.net (1997) “The star went before the Magi and led them directly from Jerusalem to Bethlehem. This is a distance of about six miles, in a direction from north to south. However, every natural object in the sky moves from east to west due to the earth’s rotation.” Different scholars of astronomy share varying views on the star of Bethlehem. While man attempt to explain the scientific meaning of the star, no natural explanation of science would ever be adequate to justify the miracle of the supernatural light that let the wise men to Jesus.

God led his people by light

Note in the bible, there are several times when God led his people with a cloud or fire. Exodus 40:34-38). The cloud and fire were leading the children of Israel by day and by night. When the cloud rested, the Children of Israel stayed where they were, but when the cloud was lifted they journeyed onward where God led them. It appears that the cloud was a signal of the Lord’s leading. The cloud was upon the tabernacle by day and the fire by night for all the people to see. 1Kings 8:10 states, when the priests withdrew from the Holy Place, the cloud filled the temple of the LORD. This is the cloud of glory. In Acts 9:3-5, Saul had an encounter with the light of heaven while he was on his way to Damascus. After the light the voice of Jesus spoke to Saul and his life was changed forever.

 Let this light shine through you

 Does this light mean anything to us today? Absolutely, the star, the light, the cloud and the fire were all signals of God’s presence and leadership. Today we do not see the light in these various ways but we are led by the Spirit of God. Believe it or not, God is still leading his people. Just as the Children of Israel could see the cloud and fire, we as God’s children can also experience the same fire and the same light, living in and guiding us daily.

 Jesus is the light of the world. This same Jesus lives inside of us. So why must the world continue to be a dark place, when Jesus the light of the world lives in us? Where ever you and I go, so does the light, when we submit to the light, we find that our lives are led in amazing and supernatural ways.

The greatest witness that we can be as believers in Christ is not to shout it out that we are Christians but to simply let the light of Jesus shine through us, in our actions, speech and lifestyle. Paul said, “Let no corrupt communication proceed out of your mouth, but that which is good to the use of edifying, that it may minister grace unto the hearers.  And grieve not the Holy Spirit of God, whereby ye are sealed unto the day of redemption. Let all bitterness, and wrath, and anger, and clamor, and evil speaking, be put away from you, with all malice: And be ye kind one to another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, even as God for Christ’s sake hath forgiven you (Eph 4:26-42).”

Will you be someone’s star that leads them to Jesus Christ?

Pray that the light of Jesus shines bright every season than any other light in the world.

This is the time for a great harvest of souls to enter the Kingdom of God.

Advancing the kingdom of God in the earth.

Prayer is your greatest weapon!
